Autism Assessments
Neurodiversity. Social Communication. Pervasive Developmental Disorders.
An autism assessment enhances your understanding of a child or adult and provides valuable insights into areas where support may be needed. We offer a comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment for children (from age 5 years), adolescents and adults, completed by a clinical psychologist. We also work closely with recommended Speech Pathologists to provide a multi-disciplinary assessment approach. A referral to a Paediatrician will be recommended if required.
Our objective at the end of the assessment is to offer a personalised and comprehensive profile, which can greatly assist in navigating various aspects of life, such as education, interventions, and NDIS applications. This profile serves as a valuable resource for determining the most effective approaches to optimise well-being and overall quality of life.
After the assessment is administered a report is provided 2 to 4 weeks later (provided all questionnaires are completed within a week of the assessment by the carers/guardians and teachers. Depending on the results, the report may include recommendations for further assessment by other professionals such as behavioural optometrists, educational audiologists, paediatricians, occupational therapists and speech therapists.
